Web 2.0ify Your Site With Google Friend Connect: A New Must Have For Your Website
Mike Mueller recently asked a simple question, are you really using Google Friend Connect for your site?
That’s a good question? What’s funny is that somehow I stumbled across a GFC Joomla! tool just a couple weeks before he asked that and had integrated it into my site. But since I was the only person on my site using it that probably looks a little strange. Thanks Mike for joining! Anyways what’s ironic is that the day after I made a comment on his post and then Tech Crunch announced that Google has one upped this great tool and made it a whole lot easier to use. Adding this to your site is easy and Google has all the steps here. Regardless if you have a Joomla! Site or not you can use the steps here as they are rather easy. Just make sure you upload the 2 files to your server using an FTP.

Another cool gadget that they mentioned is a social bar that you can add to your site. I wasn’t sure about this but then I figured what the heck. It’s not intrusive; it just looks a bit different because no one has it on their sites yet. It lets people add comments and videos and basically web 2.0ifys your site. You can see that in action here.
