Google Does it Again! PowerMeter Smart Grid
There has been a lot of talk lately about Smart Grids and what they can do for us and the planet. Never heard of it? Just click on the link to learn more.
The goal is to reduce the consumption of electricity which is good for everyone and at the same time try to move higher consumption times to off-peak hours which is also good for everyone. That sounds like a tough order and that’s why technology can help and a smarter grid can do it. Your appliances will start talking to the grid and hopefully we can start this whole thing sooner rather than later.
