If you are in a profession that requires you to stick your personal information out there, like my job does for instance, then you probably get pretty tired of all the phone calls from telemarketers. Then pretty much anyone with an Inbox has probably been tired of ridiculous scam emails as long as they can remember. On top of all that you have the problem of ridiculous faxes coming in with offers from all over the place. Not only do these tie up your phone line they waste time, paper and money.
What is really frustrating is that junk faxes are actually illegal,
Congress requires the FCC to enforce its Junk Fax Protection Act. The legislation, enacted in 2005, forbids unsolicited fax ads. The law defines unsolicited as “any material advertising the commercial availability or quality of any property, goods, or services which is transmitted to any person without that person’s prior express invitation or permission in writing or otherwise.”
On top of that it seems that most of these faxes might be originating from a single source! Check out this article.

Not too long ago Google announced the release of their browser called Chrome. It has been in the beta stage for a bit and from what I have seen most people have been happy with it. Well now its official and no longer in the beta stages. Now if only my MLS would stop having to use Internet Explorer I could officially switch to something else. I think I would go the Firefox route myself simply because of the addons and it being around longer. Anyways links:

If you have a Word Press blog, as always, you need to stay on top of the new releases for security issues. This new release does offer new security features but it also offers some other features that pretty cool as well.
If you haven’t had a chance to install this I suggest doing so by going here.
By the way this will most likely be the last time you have to worry about updates because one of the new features is that it is supposed to automatically download newer versions of itself and hopefully security becomes less of an issue.
One of the cooler things is the new interface. It might take a bit to get used to but its worth it.
Another really cool feature is that plugins are integrated better within the install itself. Basically instead of having to go to the plugin library you can install from within WP. This makes it easier and makes the plugins more accessible and hopefully more popular.
One thing I wonder about regarding security is that since you don’t have to upgrade your install will people upgrade plugins? I wonder if they can become a security threat. I guess we wait and find out.
Here is the official announcement.
